My christian relatives wouldn't never believe how warm feeling can be in the forum of satanists, occultists and sorcerers. The devil unites would be their eventual answer. :)

Ave

My name is David and i'm from Scotland, currently residing Edinburgh.

I've been studying comparative religion and Occultism for the last 5 years; initially I was heavily influenced by Buddhist thought, specifically Soto Zen, and mysticism drawn from my Catholic upbringing. As time passed I've delved into thelema, the magic of the golden dawn, Gnosticism, hermeticism, all of which has led me to where I am now and helped shape my worldview.

The unification of seeming opposites is very important to me, so I was intrigued when I discovered The Star of Azazel and the work of Frater Nefastos. Currently I am working my way through fosforos and the catechism of lucifer, and have combined elements from each into my daily spiritual practice. I am intrigued to learn more about the philosophy of the Star, and in turn grow in some way, shape or form.

Besides my occult pursuits, I am a care worker, trainee hypnotherapist, and the lead singer of the Black/doom metal band WinterLizard. Working on completing our new album and touring europe at the end of the year. Tracks can easily be found online if anyone is interested.

Hope to speak to you all soon.
D

Well I am a Theistic Satanist from the USA who stumbled onto the Catechism of Lucifer and was utterly inspired by it. I found the teachings echoing alot of things I had already thought, as though someone else was speaking my thoughts.

By way of introduction to my viewpoint I will quote a response I gave to a question over on Tumblr regarding what I believe is the basic jist of Satanism and what are its benefits.
"This is gonna be a pretty in depth response….

Well I first must point out that Satanism is not a monolithic thing, there are at this point many different people with radically different viewpoints about what Satanism is or is not. So I can ultimately only give you my own perspective which I believe is correct due to an obsessive amount of research into the history and development of Satanism.

Satanism is originally a theistic folk religion that was practiced by scattered disenfranchised peasants in the Middle Ages. It developed from early Christian heresies, primarily Gnosticism and Marcionism. That knowledge I believe gives us the criteria by which we can judge the authenticity of modern Satanists.
The atheistic Satanism of Lavey although popular is historically invalid, and given Lavey’s lies and plagiarism such “Satanism” lacks credibility.

Religions are often categorized as “Right Handed” or Left Handed.” This is a concept that dates back to Hinduism and was extended to categorize all religions by Blavatsky in the 19th century. Most faiths are Right Handed, meaning their practices focus on self denial, self-mortification, things like that. Satanism is Left Handed, it is the primary expression of Left Hand practice in the West (in the East one finds such Left Hand sects as the Aghori and some Vajrayana traditions). It thus takes the polar opposite approach to spiritual practice of the Right Hand. So, instead of denial and obedience, the practice of indulgence and transgression are used to achieve the same goals.

It is important to note here that contrary to many Satanists, the Right and Left Hand paths have exactly the same goal: unification with the divine, a state of nonduality. The difference is in the approach.

With this knowledge we can say which organizations are currently promoting an “authentic” Satanism. The Star of Azazel which has published such works as Fosforos and the Catechism of Lucifer is one such order. The other is the Temple of Black Light, known for the Book of Sitra Achra, Liber Falxifer, etc.

I myself am a solitary practitioner as many Satanists are at this point. I focus most of my faith towards devotional practices in praise of Lucifer/Satan for guidance, knowledge, and unification with the divine which I identify with the Gnostic Pleroma but also as the formless Abyss.

The one and only reason one should follow the Left Hand Path of Satanism is if one feels called to it, I mean in a deep and powerful way, these concepts and practices must resonate with your soul.

Spiritual attainment is the benefit of walking this path, and in fact the only valid reason to walk it at all.

Otherwise I would discourage anyone from following on this journey, the Left Hand is a quicker path to godhood, but it is also more dangerous, the biggest danger is the individual becomes slowly devoured by their vices, their ego becomes inflated, and not surprisingly we see that sort of thing very commonly within the modern Satanist “scene.” "

Greetings!

My name is Patrick and I'm from Iserlohn, Germany. Iserlohn means Ironwoods, which is a funny "coincidence".

I consider myself as a gnostic Luciferian with ambitions to other traditions of the Dark Path like Dark Germanic Heathenism and antinomian vedic paths. My interest in the SoA was driven by the two excellent books Fosforos and Catechism of Lucifer.

Furthermore I am an visual artist making wood burnings and paintings.

Hail Lucifer!
