Even though this event was one month ago, I see it important to open topic about it. It is a national holiday in Mexico and takes place on November 1 and 2. People honor their beloved ones who passed away by building altars for them using sugar skulls, marigolds, favourite food and beverages of the departed and visiting the graves with these as gifts.

Re: Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Hello,
it is a very interesting day to celebrate as I see also how wonderful this holiday is and it is not christian only as they write on the wikipedia but of course it is far older than christianity and there were existign the cults of death in the ancient times as well and you know it very well but it is a great place to talk about it and improve it, also maybe if you would like to to create a project together in which we will track down the traditions of the Death Cults and then inspired create something new within the SOA and make it one of the Holidays which of course whoever would like to honour would be able to do so and participate in SOA progress which in ordder will bring something fresh within ourselves as well as the Order.
Greetings.

I am very interested to make a research on the traditions of the Death Cults.

Re: Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Dia de los Muertos is approaching! Is anyone celebrating this year? I've set up an altar for the past several years, because I think it's such a beautiful holiday. This year I think I will be attending an event here in my home town.
