For several reasons, Treebeard's Song of the Tolkien Ensemble really makes me happy today. This is one of the most invigorating examples of the magical despair (sublime Oedipal longing) I discussed in our Lord of the Rings commentary Menneisyyden varjo.

I've been listening in my car drives Judas Priest's Painkiller and Thy Serpent's Death miniCD.
RIght now I'm listening to Baptism.

By the way, Baptism is on my winter playlist too, they have this typical icy, finnish sound that I like.
