I line with fra Smaragds thoughts: symbols and pictures for the sake of themselves are - without the force that ignites them properly - empty and/or just entertaining. So sometimes (and eventually) less is more.Smaragd wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 8:10 pm Whether it is about grounding in a deep way, or perhaps learning to find the vivifying water out of the stone in the middle of a desert - building proper tension for the dreams to ignite further, which would correspond to the challenges of recognizing the challenge and something that is meaningful from the day-to-day grayness.
This summer I had been obsessed by roses. "There's never too much roses", I said. I wished that my yard would get conquered by roses. In my dream there was a hospital corridor lined with roses, I walked down the corridor. A rose is an universal symbol, depicted in many heralds and spiritual contexts. To me, it is somehow linked to re-established innocence - and aging.
I usually think that dreams of death mean something else than literal death. These dreams that I dreamt lately however made me question wheather this time they'd be foretelling a concrete death. For example: there was a lady who said to me that we'd be seeing soon. I then realized that she was a deceiced acquatance of mine and that I am going to die soon. However, I don't think that the moment of death is (wholly) pre-destined.
Haaah, I myself have a thing for geeky/nerdy appearances but I understand that isn't all that's required :> I have a tendency to wake up at nights with a racing heart and it literally feels like dying (of course dying, in the end, feels like nothing but you get the point). I believe that my nightly attacks are symptoms of sympatic nervous system dysregulation or something. Sometimes I get orgasms while sleeping.Polyhymnia wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 4:45 pm I had a dream the other night where the frontman of Weezer wanted to date me and when he tried to get it on, I told him I wasn't ready. Not the prettiest or most symbolic dream I ever had, and I woke up sweaty. Does anyone else experience physiological changes like that in their dream state? Waking up with a racing heart? Sweaty? Nervous?
