This is really enjoyable. I look forward to listening to the whole thing. I've only heard excellent things about the new Rome, which is to be expected. I don't think there's a song I dislike from Rome. And I'm REALLY digging this track with Alan Averill. I best get to buying the album asap.

The Sonic Youth cover of this is on my regular rotation, but I'm loving this live performance.
Yess, I love it too!

I'm listening to the soundtrack of my life for the past few years, namely Absurd's Mourning Soul. This has always made me happy and inspired!

This song came to my mind when I read the "Things of beauty - about your personal aestetics" - thread.
It pretty much sums up my thoughts about what I find beatiful at the moment, musically and thematically.

To counter-balance the gay-killers I'll highlight something gay, that makes me feel gay, and gay. Going back to the year I was born: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EebuXP2YLE8

Not meant in some "modern" way. I'm bohemian, which is very old-school.

So there was some hate crime involved? I knew that the main man had been in prison but that's about it. It only strenghtens my conviction that in many cases the person of the artist needs to be separated from the Art one makes.

Makes me also think of the quite horrible Lords of Chaos movie I saw the night before yesterday, and its graphic violence. I watch really little anything and even less any violent movies and I realized how sensitive I've become to all of it when watching the LoC movie Saturday night; for example the violent scene where the gay man was stabbed to Death by Faust made me feel sick, like I was being stabbed myself. (I guess this makes me very untrue and the last pieces of my street credibility crumble.)

A beautifully relaxing, flowing piece!

I have once again come back to listen to (weird to say) my most beloved black metal compilation, including such pearls as Death Faceless Chaos & Spell of the Winter Forest. I have fond memories of trying to curse myself insane by magic listening to this album. And using Eliphas Levi's logic concerning such magic, it certainly succeeded as the attempt itself shows.

Interesting musical path unfolded. First listening Nature Boy that I also like (familiar to me from movie Moulin Rouge). Then looking up that Nefastos' compilation (never heard that one before), that reminded me of my favourite black metal compilation "Nordic Metal - A Tribute to Euronymous". First track by Abruptum is exellent (as the whole album. Almost all the best bm-bands from Norway and Sweden). After thinking of Abruptum, I ended listening this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PGhnBeqthY. What a weird musical minijourney to start the day.
