For several reasons, Treebeard's Song of the Tolkien Ensemble really makes me happy today. This is one of the most invigorating examples of the magical despair (sublime Oedipal longing) I discussed in our Lord of the Rings commentary Menneisyyden varjo.
Faust: "Lo contempla. / Ei muove in tortuosa spire / e s'avvicina lento alla nostra volta. / Oh! se non erro, / orme di foco imprime al suol!"

Their best album, I think.

I just logged in to write the same but Obnoxion was faster than me.

By the way, Baptism is on my winter playlist too, they have this typical icy, finnish sound that I like.
“Granny Weatherwax was not lost. She wasn't the kind of person who ever became lost. It was just that, at the moment, while she knew exactly where SHE was, she didn't know the position of anywhere else.”

Some of the best rock songs sung in English are by Finnish bands. I've listened a lot to:

HEARTHILL Graveyard Party Blues
BALLS Crazy Rythm
SMACK Criminal
ANDY McCOY Strung Out
HAVANNA BLACK Lone Wolf
22 PISTEPIRKKO Birdy
NIGHTS OF IGUANA Dry Nancy

HEARTHILL's song had a brillian promo video, too!

Finland's Aethyrick seems to have put out a new album 'Gnosis'.

While the links (to youtube or elsewhere) is in a way enough, it would be nice if there would be some reasons why/explanation about the music/band/track added to the post.

I agree. I made a similar wish on our poetry topic.
