…in many ways Satanism could be defined to be both misantropic as well as philantropic. For us to evolve as spiritual beings, the first step in this way is the seeing of ones self as clearly and in a disillusioned way as possible. A clear vision of anything and the comprehension of it means practically power over it. We have to affirm to ourselves that man is largely an animalistic, narrow-minded, petty being. Most clearly we must see these things in ourselves, instead of projecting our own shadow naïvely in to the rest of humanity. The misanthropy of Satanism should be directed into those degenerating aspects that still keep man chained in narrowness and vanity, and with this “sacred hate” we aim to purify ourselves.
In the amount that we jugde man in whole, in the very same amount we judge ourselves. Satanism does not encourage anyone to adopt such a self-humiliating and basically very selfish self contempt that bases ones own purification in the final analysis into a very simple psychology that appeals into some sort of an external saviour. Violence in any level does not belong into our plans and this concerns most of all ourselves. Satanism does not represent hypocritical self denial or any similar action based in a psychological misunderstanding as a solution for the problem of being a man. Denial is always an adhesion through negation and does not evolve, but on the contrary prevents a real development of consciousness. Satanic morality is based purely in practice and so it does not have as its basis any kind of an orthodox doctrine outlined by some imaginary external authority, into which adhering to, man would supposedly liberate himself or to ascend into a divine state. The denial of ones own state may bring a momentary relief to a being crawling in ones own suffering, but in the same time it means to close ones eyes into one or another direction, and it isn’t from our point of view acceptable or something to advocate. Everything that a human being denies or repels in ones waking consciousness will be drawn down into the sub-conscious unrecognised, and from there affects more powerfully mans actions and ones being, compared to the situation if a particular thing would be consciously recognised and worked with.
The philanthropy of a Satanic philosophy is based into the fact that man is without a doubt a unique being, having the best possibilities for a un-disturbed evolution of consciousness in the known universe. This aspect of humanity is the one that every man is potentially called upon to develop in ones own self, in the totality and volume of every ones individual possibilities and state of evolution. Man should be able to ascend to be ones own saviour and the road to this perfect self-knowledge is long and rocky, and it is made possible by Satan in His characteristic quality, as this lofty being is known as the creator of mans self-consciousness…
