THE SEVENFOLD BASIS OF THE STAR OF AZAZEL

(c) fra Nefastos 2006

The Star of Azazel is an occulto-philosophical society, which objective is to give to its members inspiration and new possibilities for seeking truth. Its theological foundations are in theistic Satanism that shares many of its views with e.g. early Gnostic Christianity. The society’s theosophically oriented ideology is based on Theosophical movement, started by Helena Blavatsky in the later 19. century.

The First Point. DOCTRINE OF UNITY.

The Divinity is Absolute. Spirit is everywhere beyond and immanent in all material phenomena, as nature’s inner reason and leading principle. Nature or God cannot be dualistically divisioned, and the highest God, the highest truth cannot be understood as a personal being.

The Second Point. ASPIRATION TO TRUTH.

Truthfulness is the highest of spiritual obligations. Everything we do should be done in a way that it is harmonious with comprehensive understanding and is aspiring to increase it. Religious feelings, when pure, are beautiful, but no faith should be taken as a substitute for reason. Intelligence, when followed honestly and openly, will lead one to the world wider than any limited ideology – from materialism to religious fanaticism – can reveal to anyone.

The Third Point. SATANISM.

To connect Satan’s name with the absolute evil is a mistake. None of the truly lofty beings of intelligence or power in cosmos work in order to increase suffering, decadence or immorality. Satan is a many-faced deity, but behind these many faces is a divine and wise essence. He should be honored and he can be worshipped, but this cannot be done without moral: beings that can be pleased by such a servitude are never worthy of man’s praise or worship.

The Fourth Point. THERE IS NO GOOD OR EVIL AS ABSOLUTE VALUES.

Evil is always a consequence of error or inadequateness in some aspect, regardless of the fact if the followers of this kind of moral call it “good” or “evil”, or if they use none of these titles. True knowledge and true love always go hand in hand, and lack of empathy is a sign of insufficient knowledge concerning the subtle laws of nature.

The Fifth Point. EVERY MAN IS HIS OWN SAVIOUR.

There is no one besides ourselves who could raise or ascend us. No outward saviour, religious or mundane, can truly develop, strengthen or redeem anyone else. Every positive change must come from man himself, happen within, and pass through every aspect of him.

The Sixth Point. WORSHIP OF DEATH.

Life and death are both equally meaningful and important events, counterparts of the great process of transformation within which the eternal consciousness has its being. Because our modern time is so scared of death, an equilibrium can be acchieved only by understanding the beauty of death and darkness.

The Seventh Point. THE TRIPLE KEY OF POWER.

There is a spiritual Key that can be described as a triangle. All different triads of the many different religions try to present it, but they betray their original ideals when falling to adoration of a form over the primal idea of truth. With this Key, not through worship but instead concentrating himself into its active use, one can become greater than man and grow in power and knowledge. The three aspects of this threefold Key are: Understanding, Love, and Will to act in a right way. When these three things are remembered and used in every situation, one carries out his essential task and evolves quickly, regardless of his personal characteristics or innate temperament.
